LHWA Bottled Water  Distribution ProgramBeginning the week of Monday, October 10, 2005, the bottled water delivery companies Culligan and Crystal Spring began delivering bottled water to Little Hocking Water Association (LHWA) customers, and certain private well owners in the LHWA service area, who have registered for the LHWA Bottled Water Program by completing and submitting a registration form. A third bottled water delivery company – Glacier Mountain – began delivery of bottled water on October 24, 2005.
Under the terms of the bottled water program, funded by DuPont, any participant who begins receiving water deliveries from a participating water delivery company cannot continue to buy and be reimbursed for retail water purchased after the date of the initial delivery.  However, those participants who still have receipts for bottled water purchases made on or after August 22, 2005 and before the date of their initial bottled water delivery, have 30 days from the date of the last retail purchase to submit the receipts for reimbursement.
Under the program, registered households are eligible to receive up to three gallons of drinking and cooking water per day for each resident.  LHWA customers who have registered for the delivery program and who have not already received their initial bottled water delivery, should receive the initial water delivery within three weeks.
For a family of three or fewer, the initial water delivery will be six five-gallon bottles. For a family of four or more, the initial water delivery will be eleven five-gallon bottles. A pump will be supplied to each residence, with the initial delivery.  The initial water quantity delivered to each business will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
The delivery companies will include an informative pamphlet with their initial deliveries. This pamphlet will include information on how to obtain subsequent water deliveries and other important information about the program.
DuPont has agreed to finance the bottled water program until the carbon filtration system is operational and effective, as agreed to by both DuPont and LHWA.
