Both the Columbus Dispatch and the Charleston Gazette ran articles on C-8 today.  The articles were about a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) draft of a “Preliminary Risk Assessment of the Developmental Toxicity Associated with Exposure to Perfluorooctanoic Acid and Its Salts”.   The articles basically stated, according to this preliminary risk assessment, that health risks to women of childbearing age and young girls are above levels considered to be acceptable by the U.S. EPA.
The U.S. EPA has not yet made this preliminary risk assessment public.
